St Paul's Spotlights Apprenticeship Opportunities
This week, we celebrated National Apprenticeship Week 2025 with a series of virtual events aimed at highlighting the value and diversity of apprenticeship pathways. The events, designed for students and parents, included webinars, virtual assemblies, and interactive activities accessible from home.
A standout session was led by the University of Greenwich during a live virtual assembly, where they discussed apprenticeship options with Year 10 students. The school also shared educational resources appropriate for different year groups, emphasising career pathways and the relevance of apprenticeships to various subjects.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Peabody apprenticeship assembly because it allowed us to understand the different routes available for us instead of the normal route of graduating from university and made me more aware of what we could do.

Interactive elements like apprenticeship story films, online quizzes, and games like Kahoot engaged students throughout the week. Teachers were supported with resources to integrate apprenticeship information into their lessons, ensuring a consistent message across the curriculum.
The week concluded with students being encouraged to sign up for additional apprenticeship webinars through Google Classroom, fostering further exploration of potential careers.
I was unaware of the multiple opportunities available to me to enter the construction profession. I watched the University of Greenwich assembly and I now have a greater awareness of entering the industry via an apprenticeship. This has positively shaped my decision for the future.
