Musicians compose for the Olympics

The Music department led by Mrs Bond and colleague Mr Fairburn have been utilising the Olympic celebrations at the Academy through a Music composition competition based on the Olympics. The students have been planning and rehearsing, editing and performing over the last 4 weeks as part of a creative unit of work focusing on the values and the spectacle of the London 2012 Olympic games. All students in Year 7 and 8 were so excited and thrilled to work collaboratively, to develop a variety of styles and genres, all competing to be gold medal winners.
