  • Parent Survey April 2025

Hundreds of parents and carers responded to our survey, helping us to understand the needs of the community that bit better.

Thank you so much for taking the time to complete the recent parental questionnaire. We truly appreciate the many positive comments you shared, and we've listened carefully to the areas where you'd like to see improvement.

We know that actions speak louder than words, so here are some of the steps we're already taking based on your feedback:

    SEND Coffee Morning

We've heard how valuable it is to connect and share ideas. Our next SEND Coffee Morning will be for the families of our KS3 students on Monday 2 June at 11am. This is a relaxed space to meet other parents, ask questions, and chat with staff. Further details will be sent by the SEND Team. Please note, there will be a Coffee Morning for our KS4 families before the end of June.

Q: "My child does well at this school". The vast majority of parents agree that their child does well at St Paul's.
    Curriculum Maps

If you've ever wondered what your child is learning each term, our curriculum maps are now available on our subject pages. The maps are under each subject area and give a clear overview of what's being taught in each year group. If you still have questions, please feel free to contact Ms O'Neill, Vice Principal for Quality of Education, at bronagh.oneill@stpauls.greenwich.sch.uk.

    Year 7 Parent Consultation Evening

We understand that the move to secondary school can feel like a big step, and some of you told us it can be hard to connect with your child's teachers. To help with this, we're holding the Year 7 Parent Consultation Evening in person at school on 14th May. Some future meetings for other year groups may still take place online, but we're also improving the way we report on student progress so that you get clearer updates on how your child is doing. If you're having trouble accessing reports on Edulink, please contact the school office and we'll be happy to help.

Q: "My child is happy at this school". Over 78% of respondents said that their child is happy at school. We are working to make that figure even higher.

Working Together to Support Our Young People

Raising teenagers isn't easy - and we know that by working together, we can offer better support. We're putting together a series of short, recorded briefings from our Safeguarding and Academic Teams.

    These will cover topics like:

    • Managing mobile phone use
    • Staying safe online and offline
    • How to revise
    • Supporting emotional development

These will be available soon on our website, so you can watch them at a time that suits you.

    Extra-Curricular Activities and PSHE/RSE

We're proud of our personal development programme, and we want to make sure you know what's on offer. See the summer term extracurricular activities. Click here for our PSHE and RSE curriculum.

Q: "My child can take part in clubs and activities at this school." Parents widely acknowledge the wide range of activities on offer at St Paul's.
    Anti-Bullying

We've heard that some of you have mixed views about how bullying is handled. This is something we take very seriously. Social media has created new challenges, and we're committed to improving how we respond. From now on, every pastoral team meeting will include a focus on anti-bullying. We're also working with school improvement partners on a deep review of what's working and what needs to get better when it comes to the challenges of unkind behaviours. This will include feedback from students and a close look at our data.

If you have any bullying concerns, here's what you can do:

    1. Speak to your child's tutor or Head of Year - they are your first point of contact.
    2. Call the school office - they will make sure it reaches the right person.
    3. Follow up - if you feel an issue hasn't been resolved, please do get back in touch. We're here to help.

We want to thank you again for your feedback - it's how we grow and improve. We're excited to keep working together and to make sure every child feels supported, challenged, and safe.
