Saint Paul's 7 Netball Team came second (only losing by one point!) in the Greenwich Netball Tournament held at Blackheath Bluecoat school on Wednesday 18th May. One of our girls, Bridget John from 7C was named as Sportswoman of the Tournament.

The tournament was organised by the School Sports Partnership Manager, Jane Simber. There were 6 schools in total entered and we won 4 out of 5 games, narrowly loosing one game to the eventual winners by 1 goal!

We were the top goal scoring team with the combined efforts of sharp shooters GS (Esther Olaore) and GA (Bridget John). Bridget was also named Sportswoman of the Tournament.
The squad have been learning the skills and rules of Netball since September but unfortunately were forced to take a long break from training as their coach, (Miss Forte) was off for a while with a netball injury of her own - dislocated kneecap. So their success of coming from not ever having played netball to becoming Runners-up in Greenwich is even more admirable!

Along with the two shooters, the other members of the squad are Shania Odutoye, Feyi Osiyemi, Niamh Arkins (Captain), Alero Adisa, Jennifer Chigbo, Bukola Francis, Evangeline Nuamah, Amy Campbell, and Courtney Ainomugisha.
