Close up of a newspaper with quote from Ofsted Report 2007 stating: Leadership of the Academy is outstanding. The principal leads by example, has a strong presence and is well supported by the vice-principal.

Handball at the Academy

Thu, 07/10/2010

Paul Brady, the 3 times World Handball Champion, 6 times All-Ireland and 7 times US 4 wall Champion officially opened the two 1-wall Handball facility at the Academy recently. A wonderful turnout of underage and Dulwich senior players and GAA officials attended the Master class and exhibition from Paul.

Bodie, Tosan and Michael receive awards from World Champion Paul Brady.

Paul also held coaching sessions all day Tuesday for students at the Academy. Paul Brady is regarded as the most naturally gifted handball player of his generation and all at the club were in awe of his presence and talent and indeed enthusiasm with the young handball enthusiast at the Academy during his two-day visit.

Director of Sport, Niall Mc Cann has Paul Brady officially open the two 1 wall facility.

A very positive link has been made with Paul and Chris Curran, National GAA Handball Manager in Dublin, who have, even at such an early stage, provided such wonderful support and guidance with the new and exciting Handball initiative. We are very grateful and look forward to continuing this most prestigious partnership.

Paul Brady and James Toop from England Handball enjoy the magnificent new Handball facility.

In partnership with the Academy, Dulwich Harps GAA Club and England Handball, Mr Mc Cann is setting up a London Handball club based at Saint Paul’s. The club will begin in October and is open to one and all. His plan is to build up a club of men’s, ladies and underage teams to compete in National and Irish competitions.

Paul Brady and Mickey Harte relax with Dulwich Harps GAA Chairman Mr Tom Denning.
