Billy wins at Wembley

Billy celebrating with team mates and coach.

Ex Saint Paul's football talent Billy Bingham, from the class of 2006 did us all proud on Sunday last, when he was a winner at Wembley with his Dagenham and Redbridge team. The Daggers, as they are commonly know as, continued their fairy-tale rise up the footballing ladder with a memorable victory in a high-octane League 2 Play-Off Final that lit up Wembley.

Ten years ago the Daggers were winning promotion from the Ryman Premier League, now they are in the third tier of English football. Billy was part of the ever conquering St Paul's Elite squad, who had the likes of Michael and Anthony Munday, Nigerian International Danny Ucheci, Darren Buckley and Andrew Mante. Billy who has worked hard to fulfill his potential of becoming a top professional is hoping that next season will be a stepping-stone for him especially when he will be playing against the likes of Charlton Athletic, Tranmere and Southampton. We at the Academy wish him all the very best.
