On Wednesday 8th December, staff and students braved the freezing temperatures and took part in the Academy’s first sponsored run, with all proceeds going to our Advent Charity Appeal.
Twenty staff team leaders, with their teams of students were encouraged by Mr. McCann, who led an energetic warm up to prepare everyone for their physical efforts out on the course. The run generated a fantastic atmosphere, with staff marshals ensuring that all staff and students returned safely back to the site, laughing and smiling, after their achievement.
Mr Brady was out on the course and captured the event, with a series of photographs, which have now been made into a collage, as a permanent record of the event.
All that is left now is for students to return their sponsor money to their team leaders. To date £785.00 has been collected from the sponsored run.
