The Creativity and Technologies Learning
Zone comprises Art and Design, Design
Technology and ICT. The much-improved
facilities offered by the new buildings
will enable the Zone to offer a broader
curriculum, and it has already started to
offer food technology, textiles, graphic
design, three dimensional art work and
animation. ICT is also now being used
extensively throughout the zone.
These dimensions enable students to explore
many different ideas and methods of
working. Some of these new options have
appeared in 14+ courses, although not all,
because students will need time to develop
a level of understanding and expertise in
these fields lower down the school. We
are also delivering a BTec course in Art and
Design which starts in September 2007.
